The Peer Support Services Technical Assistance Center (PeerTAC) has been established with funding through the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) to facilitate the inclusion of peer support services in mental health settings.
Jointly led by the New York University (NYU) McSilver Institute and the Rutgers University Academy of Peer Services (APS), PeerTAC offers practice-based training, technical assistance, consultation, and a rich repository of resources to New York State mental health practitioners who are implementing peer support services.
PeerTAC is a collaboration between several organizations with statewide (and nationally recognized) expertise in peer support services, including Families Together in New York State (FTNYS), the Alliance for Rights and Recovery (formerly NYAPRS), the Wellness Collaborative of New York – Independent Practice Association (WCNY-IPA), the Center for Practice Innovations (CPI), and Crestwood Behavioral Health Recovery Resilience Solutions.
