There is growing research that has shown that Peer Support Services contribute to an improved experience and outcomes of people seeking and using behavioral health services. Given recent changes in Part 599 regulations, Mental Health Outpatient Rehabilitative Services (MHOTRS) Providers are now able to provide Peer Support Services across the lifespan in mental health. 

This first webinar in the Lifespan Series, presented by members of the Office of Mental Health, will focus on the core competencies and role of Adult Peer Specialists along with qualifications, supervision requirements, and strategies for building a culture that supports the inclusion of Peer Support Services. The OMH team will also answer questions about Adult Peer Support Services raised at the Five MCTAC/PeerTAC Regional Meetings this past summer.
